The iFixpert promise

Four things we don't compromise on

Every repair shop says it is honest. The difference is whether the promise survives contact with the terms behind it. Each one here links to the clause that backs it, and the last section says plainly where the limits are.

A gloved technician's hands passing a repaired, powered-on phone back into a customer's open hands.

The four promises

  1. 01

    A quote, then the work

Free diagnosis first, fixed price second, screwdriver third. If you don't like the number, the device goes back together untouched.

    • Diagnosis is free and always comes first. The engineer opens nothing before you have a number.
    • The quote is fixed and given in writing. It covers the repair actually performed, not a range.
    • There is no diagnostic fee if you decide against the repair.
    • If you decline, the device is reassembled and handed back in the state it arrived.
  2. 02

    Parts you can see

We show you the part going in and hand back the one that came out. Nothing is swapped behind a counter you can't see over.

    • The replacement part is shown to you before it goes in, still in its packaging.
    • The part that came out is handed back, unless you ask us to dispose of it.
    • Parts grade is stated on the quote, because grade is what separates two prices for the same repair.
    • Nothing is swapped behind a counter you cannot see over — on a doorstep job you watch the whole repair.
  3. 03

    Your data stays yours

Most repairs never need your passcode. When one does, you enter it yourself, in front of you — and change it the moment we're done.

    • Most repairs never need your passcode, and the engineer will say plainly when one does.
    • Where a test needs the device unlocked, you enter the code yourself rather than sharing it.
    • Change the passcode the moment the repair is signed off. We will remind you to.
    • Back up before any storage or firmware work. Where there is data risk, it is stated before you approve.
  4. 04

    Warranty in writing

Issued at handover, on paper and by email, and honoured at the lab or back at your door — whichever suits you.

    • The warranty is issued at handover, on paper and by email, not promised verbally.
    • Coverage runs up to 12 months depending on the repair and the parts grade you chose.
    • It is honoured at the Sector 49 lab or back at your door, whichever suits you.
    • It transfers with the device if you sell it, which is worth something at resale.

And where the limits are

The part most repair sites leave out. A promise is only worth reading if it admits what it does not cover.

  • Opening a water-resistant device affects its factory seal. Replacement gaskets and a pressure test reduce the risk; no independent repair should promise you the original manufacturer rating back.
  • If your device is still under manufacturer warranty and the fault is covered, the manufacturer is usually the right first call. An independent repair can void that cover, and you will be told so rather than sold around it.
  • Some repairs are not worth the money. When the cost approaches what the device is worth, that is said directly at diagnosis instead of being buried in a quote.
  • Parts for older and budget models are not always available. Availability is checked against your exact model before a visit is confirmed, not discovered at your door.

Hold us to it.

Free diagnosis, a fixed written quote, and the old part back in your hand. Book a repair and check the promise against what actually happens.

What people ask before they trust us with it

Can the price go up after iFixpert has quoted it?

No. The number on your written quote is what you pay for the repair it names, and iFixpert does not revise it after you approve the work. A price only changes when a second, separate fault surfaces once the device is open — a battery cell swollen against the panel, say. That is a fresh written quote for that fault, not an adjustment to the one you already hold.

What happens next is your call. Approve the original repair alone, approve both, or approve neither and keep the device as it arrived. The same holds when a fault needs the Sector 49 bench: nothing leaves your address before you have seen the new figure and agreed to it in writing. You are never asked to settle a figure you have not read first.

Is it safe to have your phone opened at home?

Yes, because a doorstep visit is scoped before the engineer reaches you. iFixpert sends an engineer home only for work that can be finished in front of you: screens, batteries where the cell is not swollen against the panel, charging ports, camera, speaker, microphone and button modules, storage and RAM upgrades on machines that take them, and software faults needing no disassembly. Your exact model is confirmed for part supply first, so nobody arrives and opens a device they cannot finish.

The free 21-point diagnosis runs at your table, so you see the fault found as well as fixed. If it turns out to need a microscope, hot-air rework or a flat cure, the engineer says so on the spot. Board-level faults, liquid damage, back glass removal, bonded displays and data recovery go to the Sector 49 bench with your approval, never onto your dining table.

What to ask before handing over your phone

Ask for the price in writing before anything is opened, and ask which parts grade that price buys: OEM, OLED or Compatible, also called Copy. Get that grade written on the quote. Ask whether there is a diagnostic fee if you decline. Ask to see the new part in its packaging, and to keep the part that comes out. Ask who enters the passcode if a test needs one, and ask for the warranty on paper.

The question most people forget is where the work will actually happen. iFixpert does screen, charging port, camera and speaker work at your door across Gurgaon and Delhi NCR, while board-level rework, liquid damage and data recovery go to the Sector 49 lab. Ask any shop what happens if your fault turns out to need a bench, who approves that move, and how the device gets back to you.

Do you charge if I decline after the diagnosis?

No. iFixpert charges nothing when you decline after the diagnosis, and nothing when the device cannot be fixed either — the same rule covers both cases. The free 21-point pre-repair check runs first, whatever you decide afterwards. The fixed price is quoted in writing before any work begins, so you are turning down a number you can read rather than an estimate that shifts later.

The decision point is the written quote, not the arrival of the engineer. No work starts and no part goes in until you have approved that number. iFixpert also confirms the part exists for your exact model before the visit is booked, so a job with no part available is caught before an engineer sets out. Per-model prices sit at /book.

Is it worth repairing an old phone, or replacing it?

Get the written quote first, then decide. iFixpert runs a free 21-point diagnosis before any work and hands you a fixed price in writing, so the question becomes a straight comparison between that figure and what your phone is still worth to you. Reaching that point costs nothing, and declining afterwards costs nothing either. Per-model prices sit at /book, and each repair has its own page under /services.

Model age decides whether the choice exists at all. Supply runs thin on older and budget handsets, so iFixpert confirms the part can be sourced for your model number before the visit is booked. Where it cannot, replacement is the answer, and iFixpert says so rather than sending an engineer. Where it can, the quote names the grade — OEM, OLED or Compatible, also called Copy — and the grade you choose moves the figure you are weighing.
