Doorstep repair, explained.
“Doorstep” is used for two different services in Gurgaon. One sends an engineer to repair the device at your address; the other sends a courier to take it away. iFixpert repairs on-site, in front of you, for most jobs.
On-site repair vs pickup and drop
On-site repair, at your table
An engineer travels to your home or office and completes the repair there, in front of you. The device stays on your table and is not taken to a workshop. This is how iFixpert handles most jobs: screen, battery, charging port, camera, and many back-glass repairs.
Pickup and drop, repaired elsewhere
A rider or courier collects the device, carries it to a workshop, and returns it later — usually after several hours or days. The repair happens away from you. Several Gurgaon services describe this as doorstep service, because collection happens at your door.
When iFixpert uses the lab instead
Some faults genuinely cannot be fixed on a dining table. Logic-board work, severe liquid damage, and some Face ID faults need controlled lab equipment. The engineer says so during the on-site diagnosis, and the device only leaves after you approve a documented handover.
Booked, fixed, and warranted in a single afternoon.
Four steps, zero phone calls, no shop visits. Most customers go from cracked screen to factory-fresh before lunch.

*Most standard repairs are completed in around 45 minutes on-site.
Common questions about doorstep repair
- What does doorstep phone repair actually mean?
- It is used for two different services. On-site repair means an engineer comes to your address and repairs the device there, in front of you. Pickup and drop means a courier collects the device, takes it to a workshop, and returns it later. Only the first keeps the device with you.
- Does iFixpert repair the phone at my home, or take it away?
- For most repairs — screen, battery, charging port, camera, and many back-glass jobs — an iFixpert engineer completes the work at your home or office while you watch, and the device does not leave your table. Logic-board work, severe liquid damage, and some Face ID faults need lab equipment; in those cases the engineer explains it during the on-site diagnosis and the device only moves after you approve a documented handover.
- Is on-site repair or pickup and drop better?
- On-site is better for straightforward part replacements: it is faster, the device never leaves your possession, and you can watch the work. Pickup and drop is the right choice for board-level diagnostics, micro-soldering, and severe liquid damage, which need controlled lab conditions that cannot be recreated at a customer's address.
More about how a repair runs
Is doorstep repair more expensive than a repair shop?
iFixpert prices a repair by your model, the fault and the parts grade you approve, not by whether the engineer comes to you. The quote is fixed and given in writing before any work starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. The 21-point diagnosis is free, and if you decline the quote or iFixpert cannot fix the device, there is no diagnostic fee.
When you compare a shop's figure with a doorstep quote, compare the same things: the parts grade, which is OEM, OLED or Compatible, and the warranty term, which runs up to 12 months on parts and workmanship depending on the repair and the grade. Prices are per model and per service. Check yours at /book, or on the page for that repair under /services, before a visit is booked.
Doorstep repair or a local repair shop in Gurgaon?
A local shop and a doorstep engineer fix the same everyday faults; what differs is where the device sits and what you are handed in writing. iFixpert runs the free 21-point diagnosis at your address, then quotes a fixed price in writing before any work starts, with the parts grade named on that quote: OEM, OLED or Compatible. There is no diagnostic fee if you decline the quote, and none if iFixpert cannot fix the device; it is reassembled and handed back as it arrived.
The replacement part is shown to you in its packaging before it goes in, and the old one is handed back unless you ask for it to be disposed of. Most repairs never need your passcode; where one does, you enter it yourself. The warranty runs up to 12 months on parts and workmanship, with the exact term depending on the repair and the parts grade. It is issued at handover on paper and by email, and honoured at the Sector 49 lab or back at your door.
Can the engineer come to your office instead?
Yes. iFixpert works at the address you enter when you book, and an office is a normal one, anywhere in the Gurgaon and Delhi NCR coverage. Nothing about the job changes: the free 21-point diagnosis runs first, the fixed price is quoted in writing before any work starts, and the warranty is handed over on paper and by email at your desk.
Be there yourself, or send someone who can decide on your behalf. You approve the written quote, the replacement part is shown to you in its packaging before it goes in, and the old part is handed back unless you ask us to dispose of it. If a passcode is needed, you enter it yourself, so a colleague standing in cannot complete that step.
