What decides the price
The model sets the price, because batteries differ in capacity and in how the phone is opened, and so does the grade: the maker's original cell or an OEM cell built to the same specification. The quote names the grade and its warranty.

When does an iPhone battery need replacing?
Apple considers a battery worn once its maximum capacity falls below 80% (Settings → Battery → Battery Health). Sudden shutdowns at 20–30%, a phone that needs charging twice a day, or a performance-management notice are the usual signs. A battery that is swelling and lifting the screen needs replacing straight away.
Will my iPhone show an “unknown part” message?
It can. On iPhone XS and later, a battery that Apple did not install may show a notice in Settings that it cannot be verified, and on some models the battery health percentage stops showing. The phone works normally. The engineer tells you before fitting whether your model will show it for the grade you choose.
Is the battery replaced at my home?
